Product Development Assistant

Job overview

The Product Development Assistant role is in person Monday through Friday at the company’s Downey, California, office. Compensation is $22 per hour. James Perse develops clothing, accessories, and home furnishings for its Southern California-inspired brand. The assistant supports product-development projects by coordinating samples, tracking timelines, organizing archives and fabric cuttings, and communicating with production, design, and development teams. The role helps keep samples and project materials organized so product work can move forward efficiently.

What you'll do

• Manage sample tracking, issue shipping labels, and log received samples
• send labels to domestic and international vendors
• receive and distribute packages
• maintain fit-sample and dropped-sample archives
• organize seasonal bulk fabric cuttings
• assist with other product-development tasks as needed.
