Mental Health Resident Coordinator — Overnight Weekend Shift

Job overview

The Mental Health Resident Coordinator works onsite in Vienna, VA, part-time, from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Compensation is $21–$24.50 per hour. The role supports residents in transitional living homes and reports to the Transitional House Manager. The coordinator supervises residents and helps maintain a safe, supportive environment that encourages well-being and continued participation in recovery programs, working with management and clinical staff.

What you'll do

• Safely transport clients to scheduled activities
• use intervention and communication skills with clients and their families
• follow Joint Commission, infection prevention, emergency management, and environment-of-care procedures
• document activities in the BestNotes electronic health record
• coordinate with the program nurse and clinical team about medication side effects
• maintain hygienic residences
• facilitate recovery activities and groups
• conduct and document observation rounds
• support resident attendance
• orient new residents to safety procedures and emergency resources
• monitor self-administration of medication and record vital signs as assigned.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, current TB clearance, a valid driver's license, and meeting the stated age and driving-insurance requirements. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
