What you'll do
- Assess patient and family needs
- plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- administer medications, chemotherapy, and other infusions safely
- provide patient and family education and emotional support
- document care and telephone interactions
- respond to emergencies and maintain BLS certification
- coordinate referrals and continuity of care
- perform telephone triage
- record charges
- collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
- coordinate patient flow when functioning in the charge nurse role
- supervise assistive personnel as appropriate
- participate in quality initiatives and professional development.
