The School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — K–8 role is onsite in Covington, KY. Compensation is not specified. Neighborhood Charter Schools’ mission is to support children’s intellectual, social, and emotional development through a comprehensive K–8 program. The SLP provides individualized and small-group therapy to students with individualized education programs (IEPs), supporting communication growth, self-advocacy, and social interaction. The role also contributes assessments, documentation, classroom consultation, and collaboration with families and the school team to support students’ academic and social participation.

What you'll do

  • Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy to K–8 students with IEPs
  • address receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice, and social-pragmatic communication
  • develop Social Club programming using Social Thinking methodologies
  • conduct evaluations and screenings
  • develop and update IEP goals
  • maintain confidential records and compliance documentation
  • consult with school staff and participate in student support, IEP, and family meetings.
