Design Engineer Intern

Job overview

The Design Engineer Intern role is onsite in Chicago, IL, for a six-month internship scheduled for January–June or June–December 2027. Compensation is $24 per hour. The intern supports Marks’ engineering and industrial design teams on consumer product and package development projects.

What you'll do

• Create 3D models in SolidWorks and renderings in KeyShot
• support consumer product and package design, development, and testing
• assist with rapid prototyping using 3D printers, a CAD cutting table, and a vacuum former
• help engineers and designers develop, prototype, and test product and packaging solutions
• attend client meetings as needed to provide technical support and creative problem-solving.
