Job overview

The 1st Class Power Line Technician works onsite in Pembroke, North Carolina. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Lumbee River EMC’s overhead and underground electrical power system. The role also responds to outages and voltage problems, supports restoration, and assists with training apprentices and crew members.

What you'll do

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground power lines and equipment
• string, splice, transfer, and sag wire
• install and maintain transformers, meters, switches, and related equipment
• inspect lines and report deficiencies
• perform switching and emergency repairs
• respond to outage and voltage calls
• assist with on-the-job training.
