The Vertical Machining Center (VMC) Machinist, Day Shift role is onsite in Plymouth, MN, with pay of $35–$42 per hour depending on experience. The precision machining job shop serves aerospace, defense, medical, and microelectronics customers. The machinist sets up and operates vertical machining centers to produce short-run, tight-tolerance parts, taking ownership from setup through inspection to support customer production requirements.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate vertical machining centers
• edit programs at the control and prove out new jobs
• select tooling and work holding
• set offsets and adjust feeds and speeds
• inspect parts in process and at final using precision measuring tools
• read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• maintain machines, tooling, and work area.

Why this role
