The Multimedia Producer role is onsite in Boston, MA. Compensation is $35.75–$41.03 per hour. The producer supports Boston Globe Media’s cross-functional multimedia team, creating journalism for its broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms. The role exists to report and produce accurate, engaging video journalism that helps inform audiences and reach new audiences on emerging platforms. It develops stories with newsroom colleagues and manages production from field or studio work through editing and delivery.

What you'll do

• Produce video journalism using video, photography, and audio
• oversee field and studio production, including shooting, editing, audio recording, scripts, rundowns, and lighting
• work with reporters and editors to develop timely stories
• pitch, research, and write story ideas
• manage multiple projects and production schedules
• create social and vertical video with audience engagement and social media teams
• follow newsroom ethics and editorial standards.
