Therapeutic Activities Assistant

Job overview

The Therapeutic Activities Assistant role is onsite in McKeesport, PA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; compensation is $15.50–$18 per hour. Community LIFE provides all-inclusive care for older adults and aims to help them remain at home with dignity, independence, and quality of life. The assistant helps plan, organize, coordinate, and deliver therapeutic activities for older adults at a day center, working with the Activities Coordinator and center staff. Occasional visits to participants’ homes extend activity programming into the community and support participants’ engagement and well-being.

What you'll do

• Assist the Activities Coordinator with planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing therapeutic activities
• work cooperatively with day-center staff
• use creative skills to enhance activity programming
• take on a leadership role when the Activities Coordinator is absent
• occasionally travel to participants’ homes to provide activities.
