By setting forms to specified dimensions, preparing pours, and finishing surfaces to project requirements, the finisher contributes to efficient, high-quality construction work.

What you'll do

• Guide concrete delivery and placement into forms
• spread and level concrete to specified grade and depth
• shape and finish surfaces using straightedges, screeds, floats, trowels, and related tools
• create expansion joints and edges
• repair rough or defective concrete
• place reinforcing steel or base material
• interpret blueprints and project details
• cut, assemble, erect, and secure forms
• ensure layout and alignment
• prepare for pours
• use required personal protective equipment and collaborate on job-site safety.
