Experienced Plant Health Care Technician

The Experienced Plant Health Care Technician is an onsite, field-based role in Falls Church, VA. Compensation is $26–$30 per hour. RTEC Treecare provides professional tree care and plant health services throughout Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, DC area. The technician inspects and treats trees and shrubs, documents findings and applications, and supports integrated pest management so clients’ landscapes and plants remain healthy.

What you'll do

• Diagnose tree and shrub pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
• perform fertilization, pest management, disease control, soil care, and related treatments
• apply materials safely according to labels and regulations
• inspect and document plant health and follow-up needs
• support Integrated Pest Management programs
• maintain equipment and vehicles
• communicate service updates
• help train junior technicians as needed
• follow field safety and compliance procedures.
