Product Engineer Specialist — Metal Cutting

What you'll do

• Direct product design to meet specifications, cost targets, and schedules
• maintain records and documentation
• coordinate research and development projects
• maintain standard designs
• coordinate FMEA, FEA, VA, and DFA/DFM activities
• arrange design reviews with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing
• coordinate multiple projects across departments
• manage suppliers of project equipment and tooling
• communicate with customers about design issues
• identify innovations and cost-saving improvements. May lead engineering associates, direct reports, and subcontractors depending on experience and technical knowledge.
