House Assistant – Residential Disability Services

Job overview

The House Assistant – Residential Disability Services role is onsite in Due West, SC, with compensation of $16.76 per hour. Burton Center provides residential and other services to people with disabilities and special needs and their families. The assistant supports adults across three residential homes by helping maintain safe, well-stocked homes and assisting with shopping, appointments, and budgeting. The role also supports Direct Support Professionals, helps implement Individual Support Plans, coordinates staffing schedules, and completes progress reports and daily notes.

What you'll do

• Complete routine safety checks
• restock groceries and personal hygiene supplies
• assist individuals with shopping trips, appointments, and budgeting
• train and support Direct Support Professionals in implementing Individual Support Plans
• create adequately staffed schedules
• model care, communication, and teamwork practices
• communicate with families
• complete online progress reports, goals, and daily notes.
