What you'll do

• Triage incoming patients by injury or illness severity
• stabilize incoming patients
• administer medication as instructed by physicians
• start intravenous lines and set broken bones
• perform tracheotomies and intubations
• provide stitches and sutures
• create and maintain patient records
• work with emergency staff
• help transfer stable patients to other wings
• coordinate nursing care and patient and family teaching.
