Staff Attorney / Health Advocacy Fellow

The Staff Attorney / Health Advocacy Fellow role is hybrid in New York, NY, with at least two days each week in NYLAG offices or other in-person work under the current policy. The salary range is $87,994–$104,544 per year. The two-year fellowship is with NYLAG’s Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program, which works to improve access to healthcare. The attorney provides client counseling, representation, and advocacy related to health coverage; develops community and professional education materials; conducts trainings and provides technical assistance; and participates in policy, legislative, coalition, and possible systemic litigation work. Travel to client homes, agency sites, and other locations within New York City is required, with possible conference travel to Albany or Washington, DC.
