The Mining Automation and Instrumentation Technologist role is onsite in Laramie, WY, with pay of $43.14–$44.14 per hour. Compensation is stated as an hourly range. This role maintains and repairs electrical, electronic, and instrumentation systems so mining production equipment can operate reliably. The technologist performs inspections and preventive maintenance, troubleshoots faults, installs control equipment and supports compliance with mining safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Inspect assigned areas for safety
• troubleshoot, service, and repair electrical, electronic, and instrumentation equipment
• use test instruments and diagnostics to locate faults
• replace defective parts and validate system operation
• maintain controls, recorders, gas analyzers, and automatic weight devices
• install control devices, instruments, recorders, SCR drives, and PLCs during construction, upgrades, and modifications
• maintain housekeeping and follow MSHA and other applicable safety requirements.
