Occupational Medicine Assistant

The Occupational Medicine Assistant role is onsite at the Hillsboro Clinic in Hillsboro, OR, with pay of $23–$26 per hour. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., approximately 40 hours per week, with one on-call shift per month. The role supports occupational medicine services at AFC Urgent Care Hillsboro. The assistant combines medical assistant duties with occupational health workflows, helping patients move through appointments and follow-up care efficiently. Clinical support, accurate records, equipment readiness, and coordination with clinics and employers contribute to patient care and smooth occupational medicine operations.

What you'll do

• Complete occupational medicine appointments and follow-up work
• support occupational health services and physicals
• draw blood, administer vaccines, conduct drug screens, and set up EKGs
• assist with training staff on new accounts
• manage the occupational medicine scheduling queue and follow-up visits
• scan results into the EMR within 24 hours and send results to employers per protocol
• maintain and document equipment calibration
• stock supplies and prepare equipment
• assist providers, take vitals, support triage, and help at the front desk when needed.
