The Pharmacist role is onsite in Clinton, NC. Compensation is not specified. The pharmacist joins the Pharmacy team at Sampson Regional Medical Center, supporting safe medication use and patient care. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist reviews and interprets medication orders and patient data, prepares and dispenses medications, monitors drug therapies, and advises healthcare practitioners. The role also supports pharmacy workflow, regulatory compliance, staff education, patient advocacy, and continuous quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Review and interpret physician orders, patient data, medication indications, incompatibilities, and allergies
• plan and implement safe medication administration and monitoring
• compound, package, label, and dispense medications
• monitor drug therapies and advise practitioners
• direct and verify pharmacy technician work
• provide pharmacological information and staff education
• maintain controlled-substance records and regulatory compliance
• participate in quality improvement, drug utilization studies, and hospital committees as needed.
