The Manager/Sr Manager Grid Implementation leads the team responsible for analyzing upcoming changes to the grid and identifying potential reliability issues. This role is onsite in Austin, TX, and the salary range is $219,000–$301,000. ERCOT is the independent system operator for the Texas power grid. This role exists to ensure ongoing reliability by communicating issues to impacted teams and developing mitigations. The manager serves as a subject matter expert for the planning and operation of the electric power system and leads the development of operating plans.

What you'll do

• Manage the day-to-day and strategic direction of the Grid Implementation team.
• Analyze upcoming changes to the grid to identify reliability issues.
• Develop and review thermal/cascading-related Generic Transmission Constraints and Congestion Management Plans.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for system performance standards.
• Lead hiring, coaching, and performance management of staff.
