The Employment Specialist role is onsite in Olympia, Washington, with daily office work and community outreach. The role supports Compass Career Solutions’ Employment team, which provides client-driven case management and helps address barriers to employment. The position exists to help clients pursue and retain independent employment by assessing eligibility, understanding career goals, developing skills, and connecting clients with employers. The specialist documents progress, builds community partnerships, and travels locally, including providing transportation to clients as needed.

What you'll do

• Maintain knowledge of DDA and DVR
• assess and interview clients to determine eligibility
• document care and progress toward goals
• learn clients’ employment goals and potential employer matches
• support career growth and skills development
• assist clients in obtaining employment at or above minimum wage
• provide ongoing employment-related soft- and hard-skill development
• build community partnerships
• represent Compass at meetings and events
• travel throughout the area and transport clients as needed.
