Claims Specialist — Workers’ Compensation

The Claims Specialist — Workers’ Compensation role is onsite at a project construction site in Winnemucca, NV, and pays $35–$37 per hour on W-2. The assignment is 12 months, with a Monday–Saturday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role administers the project workers’ compensation program under the guidance of the Bechtel claims team and also assists with auto and other insured claims. The specialist manages routine claims matters, coordinates with injured workers, insurers, medical providers, and other parties, and keeps the claims leadership informed. The work supports compliant claims handling, timely resolution, and return-to-work coordination at the project site.

What you'll do

• Administer and document workers’ compensation claims
• investigate eligibility and coordinate subrogation issues
• interpret applicable laws and regulations
• monitor claim resolution and insurer performance
• maintain the project risk management information system
• conduct claim reviews and audits
• coordinate return-to-work plans and medical-provider relationships
• assist with litigation support and other insured claims.
