What you'll do

• Prepare exam rooms with supplies and equipment
• obtain and document vital signs and patient concerns
• assist providers during examinations
• administer medications and may perform injections as directed and under protocols
• enter information in the electronic health record
• reinforce provider and RN instructions
• escort and prepare patients for examinations
• collect brief patient histories
• screen telephone messages and route concerns under protocols
• perform approved point-of-care laboratory tests
• notify the RN of significant patient changes
• maintain patient confidentiality.
