Direct Support Professional – Developmental Disabilities

Job overview

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Fremont, NE, with pay of $16–$17 per hour. Part-time shifts may run 8 a.m.–3 p.m. or 3 p.m.–9 p.m.; every other weekend may be required, and hours can vary with individual needs. Hands of Heartland’s stated approach puts the person before the program.

What you'll do

• Support people with developmental disabilities in daily living activities, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation according to individual needs. Help individuals develop skills such as money management, household tasks, self-advocacy, and communication
• implement and document person-centered support plan goals
• promote health, safety, dignity, social interaction, and community inclusion
• and transport individuals in a motor vehicle.
