Civil Designer — Land Development

The Civil Designer — Land Development role is onsite in Georgetown, DE. Pay is $34–$46 per hour. Atwell, LLC provides consulting, engineering, and construction services for real estate, land development, and energy markets. The designer produces civil engineering drawings and revises plans for land development projects. The work supports project teams by translating survey information and design requirements into accurate plans and coordinating updates with project managers, municipalities, agencies, and clients.

What you'll do

• Provide drafting guidance to design staff
• use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software
• produce site layout, grading, erosion and sediment control, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, construction layout, and staking drawings
• review survey data and development documents
• revise plans based on comments
• communicate workflow status with project managers and team leaders.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma and 4–10 years of civil design experience in residential, commercial, or industrial land development; a technical certificate or associate degree is preferred. AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is required.
