The Oral Surgery Dental Assistant role is onsite at the practice’s Central Coast locations, with the primary listing location in Santa Barbara, CA; travel between nearby offices is required as needed. Pay is $27–$32 per hour. The center provides oral and maxillofacial surgical care with an emphasis on safety, comfort, and patient outcomes. The assistant supports surgeons during procedures and helps maintain safe, efficient care from preparation through recovery. The role contributes to patient comfort and clinical operations through chairside assistance, monitoring, sterilization, imaging, documentation, and coordination with the clinical and administrative team.

What you'll do

• Assist chairside during oral and maxillofacial procedures, including extractions, implants, and grafting
• support sedation and anesthesia cases through preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• monitor and document vital signs
• prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and operatories
• follow infection-control and sterilization protocols
• take diagnostic imaging and radiographs
• provide pre- and post-operative instructions
• maintain clinical documentation
• support OSHA, HIPAA, and safety compliance
• collaborate to maintain patient flow.
