Substance Use Disorder Recovery Technician

The Substance Use Disorder Recovery Technician role is an onsite, full-time position in San Diego, CA. Pay is $24–$30 per hour. McAlister Institute’s Recovery & Bridge Center supports people in recovery and is part of the organization’s San Diego recovery services. The technician supports client engagement, safety, and a structured recovery environment. The role includes monitoring clients during sobering, assisting with hygiene and transportation, coordinating discharge, maintaining records, and connecting clients with community partners.

Why this role

Five 8.5-hour shifts per week are listed, with shift options of 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Monday–Sunday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Monday–Sunday, or 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. Saturday–Sunday. Candidates must meet one of the listed SUD or peer-support qualification pathways.
