Data Center Construction Energy Marshal

Job overview

The Data Center Construction Energy Marshal role is onsite at client sites in La Porte, IN; compensation is $150,000–$200,000 per year. Accenture Construct delivers capital projects including data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories, and public infrastructure. The Energy Marshal implements and assures energy-isolation practices, helping site teams identify energy sources, apply lockout/tagout controls, and verify that qualified personnel follow required procedures. This work supports safe construction and commissioning activities at data center sites.

What you'll do

• Implement the Energy Isolation Program using SPS-101 standards
• establish and manage an assurance process and address audit gaps
• participate in high-risk activity planning
• ensure proposed procedures follow the approval process
• coordinate the Energy Isolation Permit process
• review work statements, procedures, and scripts to identify energy sources
• determine group or individual lockout/tagout needs
• verify qualifications, training, and PPE compliance
• delegate qualified alternates during multi-shift or peak energization periods
• maintain communication with site teams.
