Section 508 Compliance Specialist

The Section 508 Compliance Specialist position is onsite five days a week in Linthicum Heights, MD. Compensation is not specified. The role supports the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s Training Directorate. The specialist reviews vendor Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates against WCAG requirements, scores compliance, and develops remediation roadmaps. The work helps the agency track accessibility gaps and guide vendors toward fixes, while supporting agency-wide accessibility practices and workflows.

What you'll do

• Assess vendor VPATs against 36 WCAG requirements using the DCSA scoring system
• provide vendors with remediation roadmaps and timeframes
• track remediation completion
• respond to and advance ServiceNow tickets
• collaborate with vendors and stakeholders on compliance gaps and fixes under WCAG 2.0 and DCSA VPAT guidelines
• advise DCSA VPAT and RRAM officers on accessibility practices and workflow
• participate in agency-wide working groups
• use assistive technology tools such as ANDI, JAWS, JAWS Inspect, and NVDA.
