Substitute Teacher — Grades 7–12

The Substitute Teacher role is onsite in Lone Tree, CO, providing daily contracted services as needed. Compensation is $20 per hour. Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County provides a classical, content-rich education focused on students’ intellectual and moral development.

What you'll do

• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
• implement lesson plans and instructional activities when the regular teacher is absent
• follow school policies and emergency procedures
• supervise students during classroom and other assigned activities
• take attendance and follow teacher notes and lesson plans
• maintain FERPA confidentiality
• adapt to classroom circumstances
• arrive 30 minutes before assignments and remain for the full duty period
• leave notes for the regular teacher
• and complete assigned training.
