HVAC Commissioning Service Technician

The HVAC Commissioning Service Technician role is onsite in Knoxville, TN; compensation is stated as competitive hourly pay up to $42 per hour based on experience. The technician works with installation crews, project managers, and the controls team to bring commercial HVAC systems into operation.

What you'll do

• Lead start-up and commissioning of new commercial HVAC systems
• verify installations against manufacturer specifications, drawings, and project requirements
• perform pre-functional checks and performance testing and document results. Set and verify refrigerant charge, airflow, gas pressures, combustion, and electrical readings
• coordinate start-up activities with project partners
• identify deficiencies and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
• guide customers and facility staff through system operation at turnover
• maintain reports and closeout documentation
• and support service diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance between start-ups. Follow company and jobsite safety policies. Required qualifications include five or more years of commercial HVAC experience, commissioning experience, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.
