The Dental Assistant / Sterilization Technician role is an onsite, full-time position in Grand Junction, CO, scheduled Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience. Atwood Prosthodontics supports the dental team in providing safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The role assists the dentist during procedures, prepares patients and treatment rooms, and cleans, disinfects, sterilizes, and stores instruments. It helps maintain infection-control standards and an organized clinical environment for patient care.

What you'll do

• Prepare and clean operatories
• assist chairside by passing instruments, managing suction, and preparing materials
• take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions as permitted by Colorado regulations
• greet and prepare patients and review medical history
• provide post-operative instructions
• clean, decontaminate, package, and sterilize instruments
• operate sterilization equipment and maintain logs
• follow Standard Precautions, PPE, OSHA, BBP, and office policies
• inspect equipment
• organize and restock supplies
• communicate with clinical and front office staff.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED and CPR/BLS certification are required, or willingness to obtain CPR/BLS upon hire. New graduates with clinical externship experience will be considered. Dental assisting or sterile processing training/certification is preferred but not required.
