Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI, providing care in a client’s home or preferred care environment. Compensation is $18 per hour. BrightStar Care provides personal care and home health support to help clients remain healthy and live as fully as possible. The professional provides day-to-day personal assistance and supports client safety, dignity, and independence. Care tasks and observations are guided by the client’s plan of care, with changes reported to the Director of Nursing.

What you'll do

• Provide hygiene and personal care as directed, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, linen changes, and light housekeeping
• prepare meals according to the client’s diet
• take and record vital signs and, if needed, height and weight
• assist with range-of-motion activities and report observed changes
• assist with walking and transportation to appointments, activities, and shopping
• follow policies and protect client rights and confidentiality.
