Crisis Service Specialist – Front Desk

Job overview

The Crisis Service Specialist – Front Desk works onsite in Pontiac, MI, on three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays. Pay is $20.77–$26 per hour. The role supports the Resource and Crisis Center (RCC) and its crisis services. As the initial point of contact, the specialist welcomes people arriving at the center, connects them with appropriate services, and provides crisis intervention support when needed. The role helps maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment through communication with internal teams and community partners.

What you'll do

• Greet individuals arriving at the RCC
• document demographic and service information
• coordinate warm transfers and communication between crisis departments
• use evidence-based de-escalation techniques
• answer and route calls
• maintain the lobby
• collaborate with community partners
• communicate security concerns
• support safety efforts and access to community resources
• restock supplies
• complete training and basic vitals.

Why this role
