Infusion Registered Nurse

The Infusion Registered Nurse role is a part-time, independent-contractor position providing care in patients’ homes across the DC/MD/VA service area. Compensation is $50 per hour. The role provides infusion therapies in patients’ homes, with a focus on individualized care and patient advocacy. The nurse manages the infusion experience from assessment through medication administration, monitoring, education, and documentation. The role contributes to safe, clinically sound home infusion care by coordinating with pharmacy and clinical leadership and maintaining infection-control and aseptic practices.

What you'll do

• Perform pre-infusion assessments
• establish peripheral IV access and manage ports and PICCs
• administer specialty medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• provide immediate intervention or activate EMS if required
• educate patients and caregivers on medication storage, side effects, and home safety
• coordinate orders and supplies with pharmacy and clinical leadership
• document care using mobile platforms
• manage travel within the DC/MD/VA service area.
