What you'll do

• Assist providers with patient care
• escort and prepare patients for exams
• review health histories
• organize patient flow
• set up procedure trays and instruments
• prepare specimens and requisitions
• document visits in the electronic medical record
• respond to patient questions and calls
• schedule procedures and referrals
• clean and sterilize equipment
• maintain supplies, inventory, and infection-control practices
• document instructions and follow HIPAA and OSHA standards.
