The manager coordinates clinical activities for MedCare's Respiratory Care Department and supports its mission, vision, and strategy. The manager leads respiratory care operations, staff development, quality, safety, and productivity. Maintaining clinical standards, improving processes, managing resources, and coordinating equipment and care practices support effective respiratory services for patients.

What you'll do

• Coordinate clinical activities of the Respiratory Care Department
• assist with monitoring patient conditions and communicate changes to department members
• establish and maintain a safe work environment and staff compliance with safety and infection control guidelines
• oversee staff competencies and required education
• investigate and resolve incident reports
• align department goals with organizational priorities
• improve service quality and customer satisfaction
• use Lean tools and lead at least one departmental process improvement initiative annually
• coach, evaluate, and develop staff
• manage the department budget and monitor financial performance
• maintain respiratory care expertise
• monitor standards of care and implement policy changes
• ensure patient care plans are evaluated and documented
• recommend technology changes
• oversee medical equipment maintenance and replacement
• represent the department in care coordination.

Why this role

Requires completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program, current applicable state licensure, NBRC certification or registration, CPR (BLS), and 3–5 years of progressively responsible respiratory care experience.
