Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, with shifts supporting homes and activities at locations including Pleasant Hills, Baldwin, Shaler, Penn Hills, Export, and Monroeville. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour and may increase to $17.50 per hour after successful completion of the 90-day introductory performance evaluation. CLASS supports people with disabilities in pursuing community participation, equality, and individual choice. The role helps people with disabilities live as independently as possible by providing practical assistance, guidance, companionship, and support for social and recreational activities. It also contributes to their health and safety through reporting concerns and maintaining daily logs and data reports.

What you'll do

• Support people with disabilities in their homes and at activities
• assist with medication administration, lifting and transfers, bathing, hygiene, shopping, cooking, transportation, laundry, and light housekeeping
• provide companionship and help identify social and recreational activities
• report health and safety concerns
• maintain daily logs and data reports.
