Job overview

The Mental Health Practitioner – IRTS Evenings role is fully onsite at the IRTS facility in Bloomington, MN. Compensation is $27.48 per hour. The practitioner supports RADIAS Health’s Intensive Residential Support Services program for 12 adults experiencing acute mental illness symptoms and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. The practitioner provides recovery-oriented treatment and rehabilitative services as part of a treatment team. The role helps residents develop independent living skills, carries out treatment plan interventions, supports safety and supervision, and assists with crisis de-escalation and treatment planning.

What you'll do

• Teach independent living skills
• provide facility coverage and general resident supervision
• complete paperwork and charting
• facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducational groups
• may administer medications after completing the required medication test and under nurse supervision
• assist therapists with treatment plans
• orient new admissions
• help de-escalate potential behavior emergencies
• conduct resident house meetings with a Certified Peer Specialist.
