Certified Home Health Aide

Job overview

The Certified Home Health Aide role is onsite in Edison, NJ, at an assisted living facility, with a full-time 7 a.m.–3 p.m. shift and every-other-weekend work. Pay is $18 per hour. Heritage of Clara Barton Assisted Living Community is hiring an aide to support residents with daily living and personal care. The aide provides personal care, monitors residents’ condition, documents services, and supports mobility and prescribed exercises. The role also offers companionship and basic emotional support while helping residents with routine care needs.

What you'll do

• Provide health-care services to residents
• perform domestic and household tasks
• accompany residents to medical appointments or hospitals
• administer simple prescribed medications
• assist with personal care and mobility
• monitor vital signs and report condition
• maintain care records
• support physical therapies or exercises
• instruct and counsel residents and families on diet and exercise
• collect routine specimens
• provide companionship and basic emotional support.
