Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher role is onsite in Henrico, VA. Pay is $17–$20 per hour. The Goddard School in Short Pump provides an educational experience intended to help children become confident learners ready for school and life. The teacher implements developmentally appropriate curriculum and leads daily activities to support children’s learning and growth. The role also maintains a safe, inclusive classroom, communicates with families, documents development, and collaborates with assistant and resource teachers.

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum
• maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom
• communicate with families about progress and daily activities
• supervise children indoors and outdoors

• observe, assess, and document learning
• support assistant and resource teachers
• use positive guidance strategies.
