Preschool Teacher Assistant

The Preschool Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Peoria, IL, with pay of $15–$19.50 per hour. The role supports Cadence Education’s early childhood programs and classroom environment. Working under the School Director and classroom leadership, the assistant helps deliver daily activities and developmentally appropriate curriculum while supporting children’s safety, learning, and individual needs. The role contributes to a nurturing classroom and compliance with safety and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Support a positive classroom environment
• welcome children and families
• assist with developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral support plans as directed
• support curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs
• communicate with families and coworkers using approved tools
• follow safety and supervision procedures
• document and report incidents and escalated behaviors
• participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.
