Field Service Technician

Job overview

The Field Service Technician role is onsite in Lodi, WI, with stated pay of $32.50–$40 per hour. ALKAR-RAPIDPAK services its equipment product lines and provides customer training and startup support. The technician commissions and services equipment, troubleshoots systems, and documents service activity. The role also supports PLC and HMI configuration, trains customers in equipment operation and maintenance, and reports product failure trends and service issues. Extensive domestic and international travel is required.

What you'll do

• Service ALKAR product lines and document service activities
• use schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, and plans to test, check out, modify, and troubleshoot equipment
• assist the Controls Department with custom PLC control systems
• develop remedies for malfunctions
• conduct customer training on equipment operation and maintenance
• prepare reports on product failure trends and service issues
• download and configure HMI and PLC programs
• assign and update system IP addresses
• configure VFD parameters
• package and distribute programs for implementation.
