Ophthalmic Technician

The Ophthalmic Technician role is onsite in Fall River, MA, with compensation of $20–$26 per hour. Eye Health Vision Centers provide eye care services to communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The technician prepares patients and exam rooms for physician visits, performs routine vision screening and testing, administers eye medications, and helps maintain instruments. The role supports clinicians in delivering eye examinations and treatment, including assistance during minor procedures when needed.

What you'll do

• Obtain and document patient medical and eye histories in the EHR
• prepare examination and treatment rooms
• perform vision screening and tests including visual acuity, color vision, autorefraction, and tonometry
• administer eye medications
• assist physicians during minor procedures as needed
• train to maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments
• travel to other facilities for business needs.
