The HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic role is onsite in North Lexington, MA, supporting Hanscom Air Force Base’s medical treatment facility. Pay is $38.31–$43.40 per hour. The work supports healthcare operations by maintaining environmental conditions and responding to equipment issues that could affect clinical operations or patient care. The mechanic performs journeyman-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role helps keep facility systems operating reliably and supports required temperature, humidity, ventilation, and pressure conditions in clinical areas.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, and operational support for commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• maintain air-handling units, rooftop units, split systems, pumps, motors, coils, dampers, controls, exhaust systems, and chilled- and hot-water components
• diagnose deficiencies and restore equipment
• complete maintenance logs and records
• respond to alarms, failures, and emergencies. Refrigerant handling, BAS/DDC work, and TAB work require the applicable certifications or qualifications. After-hours/on-call support may be assigned.
