The Day Habilitation Specialist — Day Habilitation Program role is onsite in Bethpage, NY, with pay of $21–$22 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ACLD supports people with developmental disabilities in pursuing independence and personal goals. The specialist provides structure and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them work toward self-sufficiency and personal goals. The role also supports participation in volunteer and pre-vocational activities and completes required documentation.

What you'll do

• Help people supported achieve personal goals
• provide structure and emotional support
• assist with behavioral issues and personal hygiene
• complete accurate documentation
• transport people supported to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using agency vehicles
• complete required AMAP and SCIP training within six months of hire and maintain it.
