RSS Peer Specialist

The RSS Peer Specialist role is onsite in Denver, CO. Compensation is $26–$28 per hour. The Empowerment Program provides recovery support and related services for people facing barriers including substance use, mental illness, incarceration, homelessness, and poverty. The specialist provides non-clinical, peer-driven support alongside participants and care managers. Through groups, referrals, advocacy, and strengths-based assistance, the role supports participants’ progress in health, housing, purpose, income, and community integration.

What you'll do

• Manage a caseload of approximately 20–30 participants
• lead at least one peer-driven support group per month
• recommend courses and activities
• collaborate with case managers
• document progress and service plans
• provide referrals, linkage, and advocacy for benefits and resources
• conduct participant intakes
• attend required staff meetings.
