Lead Carpenter

The Lead Carpenter works onsite in Asheville, NC. Compensation is $26–$35 per hour, based on experience and skill set. The role supports Scroggs Construction Services’ remodeling, addition, restoration, and new-home construction projects. The lead carpenter directs a small crew while performing hands-on carpentry and resolving field challenges. The role helps complete residential construction work efficiently and to project requirements while mentoring crew members and coordinating with supervisors and other trades.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a crew
• gather materials
• coordinate with project supervisors and other trades
• solve construction and remodeling issues
• maintain job-site organization and equipment
• perform rough and finish carpentry
• assist with slabs and elevated structures
• establish reference points and lines
• assist with estimates, reports, and requisitions
• step in for supervisors when required
• mentor crew members.
