The Commercial Construction Superintendent role is onsite and based in Cedar Rapids, IA, with work across Iowa and the surrounding region. Compensation is $100,000–$130,000 per year. J.R. & Co. is a veteran-owned construction company specializing in building-envelope services, including roofing, cladding, glazing, solar installation, maintenance, and disaster relief. The superintendent leads multiple concurrent commercial projects, coordinating field teams and subcontractors to deliver work safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. The role oversees jobsite execution, resources, safety, progress reporting, and customer relationships.

What you'll do

• Run multiple regional projects and lead foremen, crews, and subcontractors
• travel between active projects for jobsite walks and inspections
• lead pre-construction meetings and coordinate with project managers, owners, general contractors, and trades
• plan materials, equipment, subcontractors, and manpower
• enforce safety standards
• resolve jobsite issues and cost impacts
• track progress and submit weekly reports
• conduct final quality inspections and manage punch lists.
