Child Watch Attendant

The Child Watch Attendant role is an onsite position at the Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA in Dover, PA. Compensation is $9–$12 per hour. The role helps provide a safe, engaging setting for children while parents participate in YMCA programs. The attendant supervises and assists children in program activities, supports basic safety and health routines, and maintains a child-friendly center. The role contributes to families’ access to YMCA programs by providing attentive care and following established Child Watch procedures.

What you'll do

• Supervise and assist children in activities
• practice safety, health, and infection-control procedures
• guide cleanup and bathroom routines
• complete incident documentation
• use appropriate discipline techniques
• follow fire and emergency procedures
• maintain required CPR and First Aid certifications and training
• report suspected abuse
• prepare center materials
• maintain cleanliness and confidentiality
• attend staff meetings.
