The Early Head Start Associate Teacher role is onsite in Umatilla, OR. Pay is $20.49–$23.78 per hour. Umatilla-Morrow County Head Start supports early learning programs and children’s school-readiness goals. The associate teacher supports classroom learning and care by helping plan activities, supervising children, supporting daily routines, and tracking development for a group of five children. The role contributes to a safe, nurturing environment and works with teachers and families to support children’s social, emotional, educational, physical, and nutritional goals.

What you'll do

• Assist with preparing, implementing, and evaluating classroom activities
• supervise children and maintain sight and sound supervision
• take responsibility for children when the teacher is absent
• lead and document goals for five children
• support daily routines, attendance, safety, hygiene, meals, and classroom cleanliness
• communicate with parents
• contribute to conferences and child-goal tracking.

Why this role
